Quarantine Diary 5.1
(A Rainy Day)

12 September 2020

And so it continues.

Today there was a phone call from a proper doctor, telling me he can write prescriptions, etc, if required.

The main gist seemed to be: “I am more powerful than the nurses - summon me if you desire.”

As usual I also had in-person knock on the door from a uniformed police officer (just one today, not a duo).

And a phone call from a nurse running through the checklist of health questions.

The weather in Adelaide until today was pretty good - today was a very grey and rainy Saturday.

And here’s a time lapse to prove it:

It’s funny. The days do seem monotonous… But they’re also flying by more quickly than expected.

I planned to do so much work during this “imprisonment”, but my crazy sleep patterns (and access to streaming sport) seem to be eating away at the useful time.

However I did manage to finalise and publish a new Numberphile Podcast - this one an episode with “celebrity economist” Tim Harford.

And late-breaking news, spotted this police-escorted ambulance arriving at the front reception.

Most likely someone just twisted their ankle doing room aerobics, but you heard it here first!
