Black Sand Beach, near the village of Vík, is another Instagram stop.
From stunning caves, a black-pebbled beach, and crazy off-shore rock formations.
Our guide was “Arnie” (this is what he told us to call him rather than his full-blown Icelandic name!).
We also stopped in at Vík itself, setting for the Icelandic Netflix series Katla - worth a watch!
The village’s church and rugged sea stacks are a feature of the show.
